fundraising

We appreciate your interest in supporting us and enthusiastically encourage you to hold a fundraising event of your own! Your event will bring much needed support for our programs in Zambia and help spread the word about our organization and the people we serve.

If you are interested in hosting an event, running a marathon in Flip Flop Foundation’s honor, etc., please send us an email at info@flipflopfoundation.org. There are many fun ways to fundraise and we’d love to speak to you about them.

champions

(Children and Modern Philanthropy in Our Nation’s Schools) Program

For San Francisco Bay Area only: If you are a teacher or parent and would like your child/children to learn more about the Flip Flop Foundation, Africa, and philanthropy in his/her current school setting (while “championing” our cause), please see the attached document and/or send us an email at info@flipflopfoundation.org.

community to community

Many of the schools and orphanages we work with are in desperate need of supplies. If your school, class or service group would like to sponsor a specific need (e.g. laboratory supplies for a 9th grade class in Zambia), please contact us at info@flipflopfoundation.org.

sisters and brothers program

The Flip Flop Foundation’s Sisters & Brothers Program pairs American children with Zambian sisters, brothers, and friends. The American children select photos of themselves; write letters; and provide clothing, toys, coloring books, crayons, and notebooks for their new friend or sibling. Our Flip Flop Foundation team members at Tiyanjane Theatre Organization select children from the Tiyanjane community who are most needy, and would make a good match. Upon receipt of the gifts, the Zambian children with their guardians compose a letter in response (in Nyanja, with English translation). In addition to the exchange of gifts, the program fosters an ongoing communication between children across continents. Participation requires an annual donation of $200 to support program expenses.

If you have a child who would like to have an ongoing friendship with a disadvantaged Zambian child, please see the attached document for enrollment guidelines and/or contact us at sistersandbrothers@flipflopfoundation.org for more information about the program.
